All About Reports

Every tap across your school, logged, searchable, and exportable.

If it happened in your building, MOOV has a record of it, and the dashboard is where you go to find it! Every tap, pass, arrival, and tardy gets turned into clean, exportable data, so you're never digging through cameras, paper logs, or three different systems to answer a simple question.

You'll find Reports along the top of your Dashboard as a row of colored buttons: Arrivals, Cards, Taps, Pass, Tardy, and Club. Reports are locked to Admin and Super Admin access only, so teachers and general staff won't see them.

The nice thing is that almost every report works the same way. Once you learn one, you've basically learned them all. You can click "Refresh" for live data, pick a date range, filter by room/reader, group, or student, sort by the column that matters to you, and Export to Excel whenever you want to share or save your results. There's also a search bar in most reports so you can jump straight to a single student by name or ID. Here's a breakdown of each one!

Arrivals Report

See who tapped into the building, and when. The Student Arrivals Report is your record of building entry: every student who tapped in at the Entry, laid out day by day with their exact arrival time.

It's color-coded so you can read the whole room at a glance:

Green = On time

Red = Tardy

Want to know who walked in without their card? Click “Show No Card” to instantly pull a list of every student who entered the building without their student ID. It's the fastest way to catch cardless entries and follow up before it becomes a daily habit.

Use the Arrivals Report to spot late arrivals at a glance, confirm exactly who was on campus on a given day (and whether they tapped with their own ID), and back up your attendance records with a timestamped entry log.

Cards Report

Track the status of every student ID card. The Student Card Report gives you the full history of a student's cards in one place: how many cards they've had printed, how many temporary IDs they've been issued, and how many cardless entries they've racked up, with both all-time totals and monthly counts so you can see if a problem is getting better or worse.

Filter by date or zero in on a specific student for the details, and use Export Student Cards or Export to Excel when you need to take the data with you.

Taps Report

Every tap, fully filterable. The Tap Details Report logs every single time a student taps one of our devices, whether that's at entry, a classroom, a bathroom, a shared space, or any custom room you've created, all stamped with the date and time. Filter by room or group to see exactly who tapped where, and toggle “Show Blocked” to surface taps that weren't authorized (students attempting to enter rooms they’re not scheduled to be in). Look at the Attendance column to see what status we wrote to your SIS, and the Color column to see if a student was allowed in the space (green) or not (red), or checked in on a Custom Kiosk (blue, purple, etc.).

This is the report that turns "I think something happened" into "here's exactly what happened." A couple of real examples:

Had an altercation in a bathroom? Instead of scrubbing through camera footage on a hunch that something went down around 11 a.m., filter the Taps Report to that bathroom from 11:00 to 11:05 a.m. and see precisely who was in that space.

Need to show a parent that their student keeps leaving Period 7 for 20 minutes? Filter to their Period 7 classroom, set the date range to the last month, and you've got a clear, daily record of every time they stepped out, and for how long.

Trying to see the last time a student entered your building? Search for their specific name and see their total history - including their most recent tap. (We can even set admin alerts to let you know when a specific student enters your building)

Beyond the basics, the Tap Details Report also surfaces details such as whether a student used their own card, their wait time, and the minutes between taps, so you get the full story of each movement.

Pass Report

A complete history of every hall pass. The Hall Pass Report captures it all: bathroom trips, nurse visits, office runs, and everywhere in between. For each pass you'll see where the student started (Origin) and where they were headed (Destination), who issued the pass, how long they were expected to be out versus how long they actually were, and the exact tapped out and ended times.

Passes that ran over their time limit are flagged for you, so over-extended trips jump right off the page. Use it to review hall traffic, identify students who are frequently out of class, and spot duration trends over time, all without manually timing a single pass.

Tardy Report

All tardies counted for you automatically. Because MOOV marks students tardy the moment they tap in after the bell, the Student Tardy Report builds itself. You'll see who was tardy, to which class or period, and when, with no one having to watch the clock or jot down times by hand.

It's built for finding patterns. You get Total Entry tardies and Total Period tardies side by side, weekly and monthly counts, totals across any custom date range you choose, and a Trend indicator that shows at a glance whether a student is heading in the right direction. You can even break tardies down by individual period and filter students into buckets (0, 1–2, 3–5, or 6+ tardies) to focus on the ones who need attention.

It's a clean source for tardy interventions, parent outreach, and pattern-spotting, ready to export whenever you need it.

Club Report

Attendance for clubs and activities, all in one place. The Club Dashboard pulls together tap data for your clubs and after-school groups (including after-school extra help!) so you can see who showed up, how often, and how long they stayed. For each club you'll see the number of Meetings, Average Attendance, total Hours, the Roster, and the Advisor's email.

You can create a new group right from here with “+ New Club”, just give it a name and an advisor email, and Export the whole thing whenever you need to report on participation.

Frequent Fliers

Frequent Fliers is the one to reach for when you want to find the students who need attention without bouncing between six different screens. It pulls every key metric MOOV tracks into one sortable table, one row per student.

For each student, you'll see totals and a trend arrow for:

  • Bathroom visits

  • Passes and total Out Minutes (how much class time they've spent in the hall)

  • Arrival lateness

  • Tardies

  • Cardless entries

  • Temp IDs

The trend arrows are the magic here; they tell you at a glance whether a behavior is climbing or settling down, so you can catch a problem while it's still small.

Tip: Report on positive behavior - see who’s “Most Improved” and recognize your students with positive behavioral trends.

Like every other report, you can Refresh for live numbers, Select Date Range, and Export Excel. You can also sort by any column (handy for surfacing your highest bathroom or out-minute totals), and Most Improved, Most Regressed, and Highest, as well as view by count level (0, Low, Med, High) or lateness (Early, On time, Late, Very late) to zero in on exactly the group you're looking for.

MOOV Hack: Sort Frequent Fliers by Out Minutes at the start of each week to instantly see who's spending the most time out of class, then hand that same screen (or a quick export) to your counseling or attendance team for follow-up.
